Pretty sure that (IRL anyway) "soap bubbles" are supposed to refer exclusively to airborne pockets of soapy air, whereas suds are those that slump on a surface. Unlike how most of these posts use it. I didn't extensively research this, however, so it could easily be something else/no difference.
