Topic: what species could be klonoa?

i think that the hybrid tag is incorrect for this character, please put your species ideas
besides the klonoa creator said that klonoa is not a cabbit or a hybrid

Klonoa advertising/merch says this & contrasts itself radically.
I believe that Moonlight Museum manuals calls Klonoa a "rabbit-cat hybrid;" maybe just a cat. It'd be on the Klonoa Wikia Fandom encyclopedia article.

Regardless of what the source material states, species should be tagged according to the TWYS principle. The character looks like a cat/rabbit hybrid, not a regular cat.

Apparently, he's little more than an example of furrius genericus, so is basically cat, dog, rabbit, and hybrid all at once.

I know it can depend on the artist/image, but in general, what would be best for tagging? Having all four of those tagged for Klonoa feels... off to me.

When a character clearly belongs to a fictional species we usually just use the name given by the author, instead of tagging it as hybrid.
Sergals are sergals, not shark-wolf hybrids, and so on.

But the problem in case of Klonoa is that there doesn't seem to be official name for his species. *shrug*

Weird idea, but how about just tagging it as klonoa_(species)? Could also use it for the ocs.
