I do think Crossovers should be a meta tag, it's taking two or more IPs and inserting them into one.
In such a case, it's going beyond the character's individual worlds and connecting them. That in-itself is meta.

BT dubs, it's not something like sound_warning, where a different category is used for accessibility purposes, correct? (Not that anyone present in this forum would know, assuming.)

Why would crossover, in particular, need special treatment vis-a-vis accessibility? The only reason you can't just change the category yourself is because it has more than 100 posts - an anti-vandalism measure.
