Topic: [REJECTED] Tag alias: insemination_request -> impregnation_request

Posted under Tag Alias and Implication Suggestions

The tag alias #56332 insemination_request -> impregnation_request has been rejected.

Reason: the two have barely any difference, unless we want to strongly enforce insemination not being via intercourse?

EDIT: The tag alias insemination_request -> impregnation_request (forum #326110) has been rejected by @bitWolfy.

I would consider the difference significant and useful enough to warrant having two tags.

An insemination_request is a character requesting for semen to be deposited in them. This does not necessarily imply it is for the purpose of impregnation, and it can even apply to (for example) male/male pairings.
Example:
post #3067570
In this post, one character is requesting that another inseminate them, clearly with no intention of impregnation.

An impregnation_request is a character specifically requesting that they be impregnated.
Example:
post #3130833
In this post the character is requesting they be impregnated but does not mention insemination.

Too bad the word doesn’t work that way:
to inject semen into (the female reproductive tract); impregnate. - https://www.dictionary.com/browse/inseminate

The word itself implies not that semen is simply being inserted into something, but that something is being fertilized (ie., impregnated) with semen.

So, +1 for this alias, and perhaps we can find a different tag for non-impregnation requests for semen. Maybe simply cum_request? Oh, look, that’s already in use.

Since cum request exists, this aliasing makes sense. (side note: it really needs some tagging, there has got to be more than just 29 images that fit the description).
