I was thinking about creating a tag like extreme_bdsm. It would be used as an umbrella tag for, well... extreme bdsm scenarios, featuring stuff like:

This would make searching for stuff like this way easier
For example, instead of searching for:"bdsm ~whip_marks ~legs_up ~cock_and_ball_torture ~bruised ~watersports ...",
you can search for:"extreme_bdsm -feces -death -gore" and remove to extreme stuff with a minus, or just let the blacklist work for you.

I think you should just add stuff to your blacklist. This new tag idea doesn't sound as intuitive as you think.

It's meant to filter out the mild scenarios, not to blacklist extreme stuff. I mean, using it for the blacklist would work too. But that wasn't my intention

Edit: I mean, I could just create the tag and go for it... but tagging thousands of pictures with the risk that it will be aliased to bdsm would be disappointing. Or maybe there is another good way to find those pictures, without creating a tag string with bdsm +20 other tags with a tilde before each of them.

In general, the answer to the question "Should I create a new tag of the form [subjective adjective] + [existing tag]?" is "No."

Well, I mean... in my opinion it's easier to define extreme ^{_{(just noticed thats a tag and could do the trick)}} then e.g. cute. But yeah, you are probably right. Some people would probably add stuff like anal_penetration ^{_{(or rimming what could be considered extreme. but thats not what i had in mind while creating this thread)}} to extreme_bdsm because they define it as "unusual kinky"
