Topic: [REJECTED] check_tag_type invalid BUR

Posted under Tag Alias and Implication Suggestions

The bulk update request #2050 has been rejected.

change category artist: (2) -> invalid
change category character: (5) -> invalid
change category copyright: (0) -> invalid
change category general: (0) -> invalid
change category species: (0) -> invalid
change category check_tag_type (9) -> invalid

Reason: These tags are the result of tagging mistakes so the invalid category is fitting for them.

EDIT: The bulk update request #2050 (forum #327866) has been rejected by @gattonero2001.

On another note, there is something weird going on with invalid_character and their aliases.

99% chance that there's some right-to-left or left-to-right control character that has been aliased away, which changes the reading orientation of the text halfway through it.

Bumping this to include (artist), (character), (copyright), and (species).

I can add these to the BUR - do you think it'd be better to change their category to invalid or alias to artist:, character: etc?

Maybe "invalid_character" means like a Unicode character? That probably explain the weird aliases. If that's the case it seems a little unnecessary since there's a character whitelist for new tags now anyway. I can add it to the BUR either way.

I feel that it should be in the invalid category then, and not in the character category.

I was thinking about using specific tags to describe the error, such as check_artist_tag, check_character_tag, etc. and have it imply check_tag_type.
Then, we can alias (e.g.,) artist: and (artist) to check_artist_tag and so on.

There are also artist, character, copyright, and species, but some work needs to be done to differentiate it from other tags.
