Topic: "sounding" tag aliased to "urethral"; blacklist broken

Posted under Tag Alias and Implication Suggestions

IDK when it happened, but now anything involving urethral penetration with inanimate objects is no longer blacklisted for me (EDIT: the properly tagged ones now are). This is important to me because sometimes (fuck it, it's obvious from this post anyway) i search for urethral /sex/, without sounding. Okay, so "sounding" isn't a tag of its own anymore. Removed from my blacklist cause it's now aliased to "urethral". This would be fine if "sounding_rod" and similar tags were tagged on EVERY post with sounding in it, but alas, many are not tagged with the appropriate "sounding*" tag.

Is there any way to remedy this problem besides making "sounding" its own tag and/or tagging every sounding post with "sounding_[thing]" (which i will gladly do myself if it's the only way to make my blacklist work)?

(Just don't flag this for creepy comments please, i'm trying to solve a problem here and such information on my kinks ideally wouldn't have to be shared.)

EDIT: Also "pussy_sounding" is still a tag as i just saw on post 2500272

I just noticed this recently and suggested unaliasing it. Sounding is clearly different from urethral in general, and it doesn’t make sense to have them aliased like that.

Yeah I agree it should be separate and instead implicate to urethral using it as an umbrella tag just like anal, vaginal or oral

Interestingly it seems like it's been this way since 2015?

I was going to write a BUR for it, but then I was pointed towards the fact that pussy sounding is (for some unfathomable reason) used as the umbrella tag for all vaginal-urethral penetration, even for things that clearly don’t qualify as sounding, like a penis. So, we’d presumably need a new pussy_urethral_penetration tag and a penis_urethral_penetration tag to match, which are implied by their respective kind of sounding (pussy_sounding and penis_sounding), both of which also imply sounding as an umbrella tag, which implies urethral_penetration, which implies urethral… and then separate tags for urethral fingering and urethral sex which also imply urethral_penetration. It’s… a bit of a mess, since most of these tags either don’t seem to exist or seem to be lacking the correct implications, or are already in use for different concepts/covered by other tags whose names aren’t accurately describing what it’s for. I’ve been putting it off, also because I really don’t care to look at a bunch of urethral penetration stuff.

I also have to wonder if we actually need separate tags for pussy urethral stuff and penile urethral stuff. A urethra is a urethra whether it’s at the end of a penis or inside a vagina. We don’t have two separate tags for perineum based on the genitals, even though a perineum with a pussy looks very different from a perineum with a penis/balls. It would significantly cut down on the number of tags we need to make this work. On the other hand, this is the way it’s already been established, not just in sounding, but also in vore, regarding cock vore versus pussy urethra vore (note that the pussy_urethra_vore and cock_vore -> urethral_vore implications are still pending).
