Topic: Best "favorite" collections.

Posted under General

I have been trying to get one of the best "favorite" collections with only the highest quality posts (obviously very subjective) and i've been doing so for quite a long time. This is by far my favorite feature and i hope for some new features in the future like a shuffle or diashow.

What i have been wondering is if there are people who have done the same and have impressive collections that they can share with others.

It doesn't have to be your own collection, you can also just suggest your favorite "favorites" from others.

Also feel free to check out my collection. ^^

You can use sets to share your collection of favourite posts, though posts are not added through the "+Favorite" button but rather the "Add to set" button. See the help page for more info.

Using sets can allow you to select specific posts to showcase (like with pools but for your own personal usage) and you can even make it private or public and choose maintainers who can help add/remove posts from it.

I think they were just talking about the actual favorited posts associated to the profile

Correct

I used the pools once but i want to have one big collection of all my favorite pictures and not many smaller ones.

I also know that i can just look at the favorites of others if they allow others to see them.

My intend was to see the favorite lists of users who tried to make their favorites page the ultimate collection of posts on this site.
It doesn't have to be the biggest and it doesn't have to be tailored to my taste obviously.

Just a place where are bunch of people who really care about their favorites can share them with each other.

inb4 they reach the favourite limit cap

I honestly don't think i'll ever reach that. Isn't that like 80k or something?

I also sometimes delete some stuff in my favorites that I added in like 2014-2017 or so because it doesn't quite fit my taste anymore.

order:favcount
order:score

This allows me to see the top posts of all time but that isn't quite the same.
There is no personality like a manually put together collection would have.
While these posts are the most likely to be seen in many favorite lists it also filters out the underapreciated pictures. Or newer pictures.

Well, if you want to shuffle your favourites, you can just search for fav:Snivy1901 order:random, and Bob's your uncle. This works for any search, of course.

A diashow, which I understand to mean an automatic slideshow, wouldn't be difficult to implement in a browser extension or some such, but I guess no one felt bothered enough to make it.
