Reason: Both tags describe the same concept, athletic wear has more images, a wiki page, and is a more inclusive and accurate to the concept: clothing intended for athletic activities (but aren't sports), "gym" clothing is too limited, and is often inaccurate to the context in which the character is wearing these clothes - e.g. jogging or running, cycling, doing yoga, etc. This tag would also be more in line with other "clothing genre" tags like swimwear, underwear or dancewear

You will need to unalias and unimply everything associated with gym_clothing first before aliasing it to athletic_wear, otherwise the system will throw up transitive relationship errors.

I'm not going to put by vote in yet, but according to the athletic_wear wiki, it states:

• As athletic wear clothing is frequently worn casually, individual items are not inherently athletic wear. The style, form, and context of the item, as well as the character's overall outfit should be considered before tagging an image as "athletic wear".

What makes for the gym_topwear and gym_bottomwear implications? Are individual articles of clothing going to be considered for athletic_wear?

I don't know what the purpose of the gym_topwear or gym_bottomwear tags are, "gym shirt" a tag with only 12 submissions and with no clear definition, is the only tag that implicates gym_topwear, gym shorts is the only tag that implicates gym bottomwear and there's only one image that appears under gym_bottomwear -gym_shorts.

It is part of the BUR on topic #27583, seems like various articles of clothing have been aliased to gym_shorts as well, so you might want to consider giving it a look.

It seems like either all of them should have implied gym_bottomwear or that gym_bottomwear is redundant.

This works, though if you really want to keep this in line with the format of the other *wear tags (that is, as a single word rather than two separate words), activewear or sportswear would be better. I prefer the first option as it doesn’t necessarily imply any association to sports, even though that’s not how the word is actually used. I just think the name sounds more appropriate.

If everything goes perfectly, only the alias needs to be approved and the BUR is redundant.
