As far as I can tell, equine anus means:

• very puffy and protrudes outwards
• practically connected to the base of the tail
• directly connected to the labia, males have a distinct, plump perineum
• of a distinct skin tone from the rest of the body
• shares that skin tone with the genitals, and on males, the perineum
