The tag alias #56778 fat_butt -> big_butt has been approved.

Reason: Seems almost the same meaning when viewing posts with “fat_butt” displays the same imagery as big_butt

I can see hyper_butt in there as well, suggest to invalidate like fat_ass.

A hyper_butt is still a big_butt (hyper_butt implicates huge_butt which implicates big_butt), so a fat_butt would still be a big_butt. The only reason to invalidate would be to allow others to more thoroughly replace them with an appropriately sized tag, but other non-ambiguous aliases go for the common denominator instead of leaving it as "invalid" for later cleaning.

I'm not sure about aliasing fat_* to big_*, could there be a possibility for butts to be small-to-average sized while still appearing fat?
I guess you can argue that it is in the same vein as plump_buttocks.

Normally fat_* is aliased to thick_*, which reminds me of another redundant tag - thick_butt.

plump_buttocks is already aliased to big_butt. I’d be in favor of aliasing thick_butt to that as well. The less invalid tags we have to leave around for later cleanup, the better. In this case, big_butt is a perfectly safe alias target, even if more precise tags like hyper_butt could have hypothetically be added in addition.
