The tag alias #56826 ancient_egypt -> egyptian has been approved.

Reason: I believe they are currently being used the same way. The wiki says "egyptian is a tag referring to Ancient Egypt".

Currently, ancient_egypt is on 88 posts, while egyptian is on 6,000+ posts.

I just proposed a similar alias, from ancient_egpytian to egyptian, in tag alias 56825 .

EDIT: The tag alias ancient_egypt -> egyptian (forum #329632) has been approved by @bitWolfy.
