I believe topic #31682 is somewhat related.
Sobbing is purely sadness while crying can happen for a lot more emotions (e.g., happiness/pleasure).

Hm, if that is the case, then would an implication be better?
as in, sobbing implies crying.or the other way around, I sometimes can't get them right...

It doesn't seem to be:
https://www.thefreedictionary.com/sobbing
1. To weep aloud with convulsive gasping; cry uncontrollably. See Synonyms at cry.
2. To make a sound resembling that of loud weeping.
https://www.merriam-webster.com/thesaurus/sobbing
Synonyms & Antonyms of sobbing(Entry 1 of 3)
as in crying, wailing
They seem to be completely synonymous.

I just did a random Google search on the differences and quote top result:
"Crying is when someone has tearsrunning down their faces. Now, this might be due to happiness, sadness, shock, or a plethora of other human emotions. Sobbing, on the other hand, is a type of crying. Specifically, sobbing is louder, decidedly more emotional, and uglier than crying."
Now the question is whether or not we want to differentiate the many different types of crying, from the subtle loose tear drop to full-on bawling.
I think this should be an implication instead, or maybe make sobbing a standalone tag, as what TheGreatWolfgang said before this.
Crying is just the leaking of fluid from the tear ducts but the tear ducts are nothing but a orifice but the peepee hole is also a orifice so isn't precum technically peepee tears so that precum is crying of the peepee?
Sobbing does not mean crying from sadness, it means crying noisily, specifically the hitched breath sound. https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/sob
Perhaps it should imply crying though

Today was not a good day to be literate.
