Topic: Make the blacklist actually blacklist on the backend

Posted under Site Bug Reports & Feature Requests

The current implementation of both the global blacklist and personal blacklist loads every image regardless of what’s on the blacklist, and then hides the ones that have blacklisted tags from the view of the user (through HTML or javascript), but the images are still there, just hidden.

This is not actually excluding them from the search and the query still returns blacklisted content to the user, just out of view after it’s already been loaded to their screen.

I think a lot of people would be horrified to hear that the very content they’ve gone out of their way not to be exposed to is actually being downloaded/cached on their device without them even knowing it, out of view.

Could this please be fixed?
