So I hop on miles_prower and see that there a lot of female tails, so why that's?

Long time ago, Tails was treated as female in spain and other spanish speaking regions.

Happens with many popular male characters.
I assume the reason it happens is because heteros greatly outnumber homos and therefore art will be made that fits their preference. (even though a large number of gay/bi people are in the furry fandom, popular characters reach outside the fandom and break this "rule")

Maybe a factor is that the three main "hero" characters are all male. There are female characters who've got some popularity, but there's definitely a difference in how core they are, I think.

Tails is already rather effeminate (or, really, of undefined gender, due to being a child).
Combine that with the characteristics of Vulpes, commonly also regarded as feminine in the West, and...?
