Topic: Is there a way to favorite an artist?

Posted under Site Bug Reports & Feature Requests

I'm looking for a way to easily see new art by my favorite artists. Currently I favorite one of their images, and then click through to the artist's page from there, but that's super inefficient for checking 10+ artists. Is there a better way?

I'd Go third party, Dood
Using Chrome, Firefox, or IE to bookmark the artist's Page I wanna see more of
That or visiting their Twitter, FA, or if I'm really into 'em, Patreon ╹‿╹)~★

Not a very sofisticated way, but you could construct a search with your favorite artists, e.g.

~BitterStrawberries ~anti_dev ~sefeiren ~gabshiba

And put it in your profile. You could check in a click a number of artists of your preference.

I personally have something akin to this as a saved search in the little browser star, but also include -fav:versperus to remove content I've already favorited

Ooh, I like this! Great suggestion.

It'd be interesting if there was something like a "Set" that was based on search terms, such that it would update over time. That would also solve this issue. Though it might be a lot to implement.

These used to exist, but they were expensive to update, and the majority of people didn't review them very often. There quickly were so many of them that they couldn't update in real time. Deferring them to run when users access them for the first time defeats the purpose of backgrounding the processing for them, and usually didn't allow for a good user experience. It's just a hard problem to solve because it takes so many resources to compute for so many people.

I don't see what benefits such a feature would offer that a saved search wouldn't.

Makes sense. Is there a way to save a search?

Yes, use your browser's bookmark function. Or put a link in your profile text for convenience, as suggested.
