The "Australian Shepherd" name came from the folder on Fur Affinity named Original Characters - Australian Shepherd but with an actual name now the tag should be renamed.

Is it the same character, just depicted as a separate species? Or a completely separate character that just happens to have the same name? If the former, it should be kanon_(applejacksville) regardless of which species it is (that's the whole reason we don't imply characters to species, in case they're depicted as a different one). For the latter case, perhaps kanon_raccoon_(applejacksville) and kanon_shepherd_(applejacksville) (not sure if kanon_(raccoon) and kanon_(shepherd) would be unique enough). The racoon version's refsheet is titled "Kanon Raccoon Refsheet", so "Kanon Raccoon" may be better for that than just "Kanon".
