Going ahead and approving it as penis_licking to --> oral_sex, because fellatio has the connotation of being (at least partially) inside the person's mouth. But penis licking is more external than that and would unhelpfully broaden the meaning of the fellatio tag for searches if we implicated them directly. penis_licking, like tonguejob, is better off implicated to --> oral_sex instead for that reason.

Just curious while we're on the topic. What are your thoughts on aliasing oral_sex -> oral? I'd mentioned it in the forums before (forum #146023) but it got kind of off-topic.

I've been leaning that direction since you brought it up, but hadn't given a full look-over and decision yet. I'm not sure I'd bookmarked that thread either, so I probably would have been going "now where was that discussion again" if you hadn't linked to it so thank you. Looking over it now, I don't see any reason why not, and a lot of good reasons to go ahead. Seems like such a big thing that I keep thinking there 'must have been a reason' it wasn't done already. But I think it just took awhile to realise we don't need both oral and oral_sex as separate tags. It took awhile to consolidate anal_sex and vaginal_sex into their equivalent tags as well.

But between oral and oral_sex - their meaning seems identical, and I can't think of any use or reason to keep them separate. oral would do the job just fine on its own. So yeah, I'm going to go ahead and alias it to each other. It'll take moving a lot of aliases and implications, but I think it will be worth it just to be a little clearer and cut out a redundant tag from these tag chains.

Thank you. I really appreciate when I see you (or others) updating the relevant wikis after some implications/aliases have been processed. It's a bit of a team effort to keep it all updated and consistent. But it's hugely helpful because out of date wikis are infamous for causing headaches later on. And, as much as I wish I could do everything, I usually don't have to time to do it all myself. So thank you for complementing what decisions are happening in the forum with keeping a lot of the wikis up to date and consistent with it. It's very very much appreciated.
