nah. web.archive.org exists, so I heard. it follows the same rules as tag nuking on deleted posts
bigger_version_at_source + unavailable_at_source at the same time?
If it's broken at the source and it's not for some reason like "tumblr purge" then it's probably gone because they want it gone. I'm also against UVAS/BVAS multi-tagging due to the possibility of multiple sources.
maybe a BVDS: better_version_dead_source tag?

post #2912325 this is the one that made this question pop up in my head.
The FA version is the current one. The IB versions is unavailable.

Yes, because BVAS indicates the source has a better version that should be posted here. If the source is dead, there isn't a better version at the source, let alone one that could be posted here, so the tag doesn't apply. We couldn't verify it is a better version either, and not an outdated or misapplied tag (e.g. if someone had a better version archived that may or may not be a copy from that now-dead source, posted it here replacing the old version and copying the tags over, would anyone know if that tag still applies or not).

What comes to my mind now: What, if the source is temporarily blocked? If you follow the link to IB, there is written:"That submission is set hidden". From the wording, it seems like it is possible to un-hide it again. And if it is possible, The uploader could decide to do so, and then it's not a broken source anymore.

personally I think those should just be left alone.
