It has recently come to my attention that I’m kind of a dumbass who thought that they could make some kind of difference here. But I am not. Sure he’s dead and people are still going to draw him sucking dicks, but as many have recommended I’m just going to blacklist it and move on with my life. So nevermind about all that I guess.

I don't think being dead is a valid reason for a takedown. And encouraging people to spam the ticket queue is a bad idea tbh.

While it might be tricky, Techno’s family would have to send an email to the site to work things out.

Otherwise, it’s staying. Use your blacklist to filter out content that offends you.

There's many artists whose works are posted on here who are dead. This also goes for personas of some people. Technoblade is hardly special in that respect.

If those in charge of Technoblade's estate wish pictures of his persona or characters to be removed from the site, they (not a third-party) can go through the usual Takedown process. However, if Technoblade had no problems with his persona or characters on here while alive, why should anyone else complain now that he's dead? In that situation, would it not be less respectful to have his stuff taken down than to leave it up?

I personally think that the images cannot be taken down just by ourselves, albeit only one remaining, unfortunately

This. Go to the bottom of this linked page and add the following to its own line in the Blacklisted Tags box:

technoblade -rating:s

Make sure it's on its own line, as each line is a separate blacklist item.

Does his family own the copyright to the pigsona? That might have been left to somebody else, only himself, or become public domain (Nobody can request a takedown in that case) after his death.

Huh, i've never thought about that before... What DOES happen to a sona after the owner's death? Like, what happened to kitty0706's? What was the fate of That sona?

Copyright transfers to the estate of the deceased for 70 years, then it transfers to the public domain.

While true in a general sense, the site did enact a policy to remove content that is demeaning to the recently deceased (see George Floyd), even when it might otherwise be relevant to the site. Not to say posts of him are or aren't demeaning, but if they are and the guy didn't approve of his persona being portrayed in adult work, they can possibly be taken down on those grounds. If it's not something he seemed to care much about and the work isn't demeaning, though, it may need to go through the usual channels (whoever now technically owns the character would have to file a takedown).

You know, erasing previous words like that is just rude. If you're going to edit that in, add it, not replace it.

Many people did not know who Technoblade was until they saw this thread. And now some of them are going to draw porn of his character just because they were told not to.

I really hope that no one's stupid enough to try and contact his family to get them to file a takedown. I'm pretty sure they'd rather not know about this sort of thing.

These two get it! Sadly, enough, yeah. It's better to just let it drop off the public memory if they're not fans. But nope, someone had to specifically tempt fate.

Because the OP was edited out, could someone please tell me the context here? Is there some reason technoblade is any different a case than, say, james_m_hardiman?

Edit: Looking at the tag, it seems the image being contested was drawn and uploaded while he was still alive, so I don't see any malicious intent in it...

There isn't a significant difference, except that technoblade died more recently, and was significantly more popular.
I rejected OP's request to delete post #3360182 in the corresponding ticket. That's not how we do things around here.

I do agree that the thought of someone contacting technoblade's family in an attempt to get them to file a takedown is horrifying, though.

Apparently, Technoblade died recently of cancer, and OP ran across his persona in a NSFW picture, which they felt was disrespectful to him and suggested it might be better to have it taken down. As you can see, others disagree.

Same here. Someone urging them to go for a Takedown would be far more disrespectful than just leaving it alone.

especially from the perspective of the family. i wouldn't want anyone to have to interact with nsfw content of a recently deceased family member who died young
