Topic: [FAILED] Gal/dude BUR

Posted under Tag Alias and Implication Suggestions

The bulk update request #2896 is active.

create alias dude (0) -> male (2505908)
create alias gal (3) -> female (2548930)
create alias 1girls (0) -> female (2548930)

Reason: Some redundant male and female type tags I keep seeing used.

EDIT: The bulk update request #2896 (forum #340487) has failed: Error: Antecedent name has already been taken (create alias pinupgirl -> female)

EDIT: The bulk update request #2896 (forum #340487) has been approved by @slyroon.

If this seems too ambiguous, better alias it to something like dude_(text), otherwise this tag makes comlete sense.

I don't think we need a tag for individual generic spoken words. As it is, though, it's on a number of posts that just feature a male without the word, and it keeps getting tagged on posts that just feature a male and not the word, so such an alias would cause and keep causing a number of mistags.

Very few mistaggings as well: dude -text.

It would help to look at all the times it's been removed too, as a better indication of how often it keeps getting mistagged.

I would guess that someone needs this tag if it's maintained, you never know with people.
Keeping it with mass update dude -> dude_(text) doesn't sound like too much work.

...Do we really need a tag for each individual word in the English language for each time it appears spoken in dialogue, especially common words like this? What's next, unalias girl and attempt to tag it for each post a character calls someone else that?
