Uh, wait, I must have missed this one, because skin and paper are translucent, glass is see through. They aren't the same :/ in fact, they're even completely different channels in rendering for 3D art.
TRANSPARENT, on the other hand, is the same kinda thing as see through.
But maybe that's just my artist showing, and no one else cares about subsurface scattering :P

I'm arguing that it shouldn't be, but again it probably only matters to me. It's just technically wrong is all.

I'd rather use what's more neutral if possible and alias the others to it, if only to prevent confusing the two. Right now we have a semi-consistent mix of the two and I frequently get them mixed up.
That's just my pragmatic thoughts I guess.

I guess they're just terms I use a lot at work, so I know the seemingly subtly difference. I'll stop making an issue out of out it :P
