The tag alias #58144 pubic_fuzz -> pubes has been rejected.

Reason: Looks to be the exact same thing, matches other tags like pubic_fluff already being aliased.

I haven't dug too hard into this tagging area before, how is the distinction between pubes and crotch_tuft handled? A lot of the posts I'm seeing in pubic_fuzz seem better suited for crotch_tuft and I'm not sure what the guidelines are for dumping those in as pubes instead of invalidating the tag and making people figure out which correct tag they're actually trying to use.

My guess would be the coloration. Pubes would be a distinctly different color from the surrounding fur (typically matching the hair on top of the character's head if applicable), but crotch_tuft would be the same color as the surrounding fur or a logical extension of any markings, as if it were just a fluffier part of the fur.

Yeah, I'd say clean it out and alias to Crotch_Tuft. It's the harder-to-think-of tag. Pubic Fluff and Pubic Tuft had the same issue, even though they did get an alias to Pubes. Just means they'll need to be unaliased and transferred.

While some pictures were of pubes, a bunch were of tufts.

I think it needs to be invalidated/disambiguated instead. A number of posts in pubic_fuzz are pubes and it doesn't make sense to shove those in crotch_tuft for the same reasons.
