At first I thought it was just something to do with my router, but I recently visited a furry friend and connected to his network and I had the exact same issue. On my laptop, a high res image could take up to 30 seconds or even more to load. And 80% of anything animated takes ages to view and is always lagging. But when he opened up e621 everything was viewed instantly and no slow download. So wtf?

I have gigabyte internet at my place, and both my pc and laptop display e621 with 2005 level internet speed ... there has to be a way to fix it? Please help

can you describe your computer and/or what browser you're using? those can have a bigger impact on surfing the web than you think

Is it only this site with problems?

Yep, with ONLY this site. I have a hardware monitor attached to the pc and whenever viewing large images/videos on e621 the max download is 0.4mb/s

I do have just a few adblockers, however I view e621 in incognito. And just now tried out using Edge browser for it and exact same performance

Using mainly chrome incognito for it. However sadly I dont think that might be the issue, since both my pc and laptop have the same problem.

Try browsing e926.net without being on incognito. You can can always go into Chrome's history and selectively delete specific history.

Similar slow download and its only for SFW posts thou ... not into that, but still good suggestion

If you have access to any kind of VPN, try changing your location. Maybe it's your provider screwing with you.

Yeah, E926 is literally E621 with a locked Rating:S setting, so it's "Safer" to view for people who feel like having e621 on memory is dangerous.

Same for me as long as I remember... It might be due to the locations ? France here. It's very boring. I have my uBlock Origin set on off to see adds and support the site (I know it's ridiculous but I can't do much more^^) on Firefox, but that's all.

Edit : it works super fine with chrome... even with extentions enabled.
