Being a general tag might actually be why it escaped notice, since it wasn't listed up with the species tags where those who know better would be looking.

Damn. Sorry. I didn't notice it could read that way. I meant: there's a lot of taggers who keep an eye out for errant species tags, but most are probably looking in the species tag section on an image as they browse the site and tag things. And this wouldn't have shown up there because it was set as a general tag. And people looking at the general tags were probably a lot of people who'd just ignore it because it's not a tag they're familiar with. So looking at it from that perspective, everyone behaving in understandable ways, I could see how it got overlooked. I'm glad you found it though.

No worries I was only joking around.

Personally I like rummaging around in the long tail of the general tags because they almost always need some care (that and I like fixing the deleted posts so the long string of 1's is a bit shorter), though I'll usually refine it with something like *male because tags like that tend to get used in all sorts of weird ways...in this case I spotted a tag that will lead me to someone's tag history so that I can double-check their posting history... intersexed_male (3)
