Is there any way to 'subscribe' to artists or artists from your favorites? I'd like to see new content from favorited artists as they come in without having to search for each individual artist. A bonus would be an ability to filter the search by tags as well.

one good option for e6 in specific is RE621 by bitwolfy, a tampermonkey extention that just makes the site better fullstop: https://e621.net/forum_topics/25872
after installing there will be a heart next to tags that will let you get notified by new posts in that tag within an hourly interval

if you don't have an os that supports browser extensions, than you'll just have to follow the artist you like on whatever social media or art gallery that particular artist is most active on

I think this would be a fantastic feature.

a) you never have to search for individual artists unless you specifically want to. You can search for up to ..40 tags at a time, use alternation eg ~artist1 ~artist2 ~artist3 and add whatever other filters you want.

b) e1547 is another option for following searches, which may be preferable if you want an app rather than a browser extension. I'm using it to follow about 35 different searches currently.

I use E621 Subscriptions to follow artists and other tags.
