I noticed that a particular user went through 100+ images of characters with small-ish chests and tagged them with estrogen. I don't disagree with this tag conceptually, but its name might cause some confusion, specifically when it's used to indicate the actual medication form of estrogen. For the uninitiated, breast growth is a side effect of estrogen hormone therapy. With TWYS in mind, it doesn't seem right to tag girly/gynomorph/etc. characters with "estrogen" regardless of whether the artists states that they are on HRT. Perhaps it's just the artist's style to draw girly characters with small "breasts" that aren't actual breasts. I think images tagged with "estrogen" that fall under this category should be given a different tag, perhaps puffy_chest? I would ask for a tag alias but there are some images that feature estrogen pills or other medication that better suit this tag. So is there an easier way to clean this up than going through each tagged image individually? As in, would a mod be able to take just the images that this user tagged and change "estrogen" to "puffy_chest" or something similar?

This is a non-visually-verifiable tag and thus unlikely to be valid unless it's Lore category...

Exactly. A lore tag could be something to consider. But yeah, as it stands it doesn't make sense for these posts to be tagged with estrogen.

Unless someone is going to make an anthropomorphic hormone creature or depict the actual hormone in some way, I don't see estrogen as being a valid tag. Medications should be tagged according to TWYS as whatever form of medication they appear as or are applied with – pills, capsules, a potion, a tonic, a syringe. We would tag the appearance of the breasts, not why they exist. Lore-wise, it's unnecessary as HRT replacement doesn't need to be tagged, nor is it solely for transgendered characters as it is also used by some post-menopausal women. I'd say convert estrogen to invalid.

I was thinking about mass undoing their edits, so the tag can be kept for the medicine... but it's not really possible to determent what kind of substance it actually is, unless its written on it. So, invalidating it, might be the way to go.

I cleaned up hormone_replacement_therapy for any actual references or depictions of HRT, but there wasn't very much in this tag that would fit that definition. Unfortunately someone also seemed to be using this tag for the same purpose as "estrogen" to an extent, but I cleared all of those out.

I support invalidating this tag and also testosterone while we're at it, and I put a note in the wiki for the HRT tag that it's for the act and not for assumptions about a character's body.

Oh yeah, I noticed this tag a while back! I agree that it's not really suitable because of the required assumptions but also very strongly second creating and populating a tag for soft not-quite boobs*, as an avid boy booba enjoyer.

*I do want to note though that if the characters were female they'd quite possibly meet the technical definition of "small_breasts" and not "flat_chested"
