They represent posts that have been uploaded by the artists themselves, through verified user accounts.

Maybe we should do a sitewide announcement about this. I've seen too much confusion about it.

I agree just made a silly post asking what it was on a random comic and then remembered the forums are here LOL.

Just had a silly thought about character owners getting verification on their character tags to show they uploaded artwork, even from another artist, that's of their own characters.

Probably would be impractical to implement, considering how many characters they can create at any time and exchange ownership in the future. Just like how character owners don't get their own DNP list.

The implementation of this feature links artist pages to user accounts. So if it has an artist page, maybe?? If it is a copyright tag, no.

Only artists can request for checkmarks I believe.
Just contact an admin and verify that you are an artist and also actively post your own artworks through an account here.
