Topic: So what do you think about games made by furries?

Posted under Off Topic

Something our god but their way too many NSFW furry games. So i played some. So you guys ever played those kind of games? :^)

There are some great and some... questionable games out there, mostly visual novels, or uh... alone time games, I want to play more, but they either cost money, are visual novels (I've played way too much furry visual novels), or are just... kinda eh... doesn't really grab my attention.

I kind of liked seen a good visual novel and now i just play what's new for 2 hours to see if it's good. :}

What are these great games? I've only played a couple furry games like changed and amorous so it'd be nice to know of other decent games.

There are many good suggestions for (NSFW) furry games on this thread, see topic #34567.

Updated

Really otta make time for "changed," sound
like the Final Fantasy 7 of furry games, Dood.

Like something peeps keep talking
about to the point you gotta see what
the big selling point is and why peeps
love it so much, Dood

Not mainly if Skyrim doesn't count, Dood ╹‿╹)
(Than again, Beefy Orc Main Here =‿=)

Usually, games like that are only meant for squeezing the hog too,
So playing 'em outside of that context is very, for what feels like
not only me but for most peeps, rare, Dood.

Most games fall into the category of:

- NSFW mods for existing games
(Skyrim, Seriously that game is the best NSFW game I've ever played, Dood! ◠‿◠)

- or a visual novel that usually leads up to Hog squeezige action,
that I usually don't play in general, Dood.

Nothing against Visual novels, They just seem like
choose-your-own-adventure books.
And Rather play than read, ya know, Dood?

Summed up, Aside from Skyrim,
Furry NSFW games don't do it for me outside of the
context their laying down, Outside of that mindset
I rather play Pikmin 2, Dood.

I always give (SFW) furry games a closer look. Some of my favorites are A Short Hike, Button City, Bug Fables, and Inspector Waffles, but I've played plenty of others of varying quality. Probably the biggest disappointment was Backbone, which had a great beginning before going right off the rails. I can say more about furry games I've played if anyone's interested!

Sounds like Backbone has a story behind it!
I Gotta look into that, Dood! ◠‿╹)~★

Speaking of Furry SFW game ever herd of Lil Gator Game, Dood?

Suuuper wholesome-looking game with what
looks like Breath of the wild elements, Dood!

Backbone is a sad story. It was a highly anticipated game among a certain crowd, because its demo was great. Unfortunately, the only part of the game that's actually good is the part that's in the demo—after that, things like puzzle solving and stealth mechanics are pretty much abandoned. The story also goes from film noir to cosmic horror, which is in theory not a bad idea, but the transition is poorly executed.

Yep, Lil Gator Game is definitely on my radar. It's clearly a descendant of A Short Hike, which I enjoyed very much.

Oh wow, Looked at the reviews on steam,
and looks like you weren't kidding, Dood!

Even the positive reviewer thought the ending went off the rails,
Can't remember an ending for a game being that off since the
ending of Final Fantasy XIII-2. In all honesty, Now I'm even
more curious about how bad that ending is from watching
the game first hand, Dood.

I can get cosmic horror and peeps slowly dropping their
cookies as the cosmic chips away at their chocolate chips
but, not when it's going to mess with the flow and tone of
the story, Dood.

Totally, As soon as I saw the trailer for 'A Short Hike' and the gator design
I KNEW it was by the same peep and had the same level of care and love
they put in Lil Gator Game, Dood

A recent SFW furry game I played and love much is BROK the InvestiGator. It's a mix of Point & Click adventure with beat'em up and RPG elements. And character designs inspired by cartoons from the early 90's.

(Oh, that game has been sitting in my steam library for ages, Never made the time~ =‿=)

If you don't mind us asking, What did you
love about the game, Dood? ╹‿╹)~★

may not just sell me but, some other peeps
on finally giving the game a shot, Dood! ◠‿╹)~★

How's the story, What RPG mechanic does it have, and all that, Dood?
(The song has nothing to do with biz just what I'm listening to right now, Dood ╹‿╹)~★

I love much the story and characters with full voice acting that makes interesting and enjoy to interact with them in the futuristic world they live.
That the choices you make impact the story and the many endings the game has.
And that can't solve a puzzle? use your muscles to solve it.

For the RPG elements the game has the story, exploration, main quests and some side quests, inventory for the items that are for the investigations (Point & Click game play) and food and weapons for the beat'em up part, EXP to level up the health, strength.

The game has an easy mode for only "Point & Click" game play to skip all the beat'em up fights and also a quick fight mode if you want to only do some fights.

Yeah, it was pretty sad. If you're after a furry adventure game with a film noir tone, I'd recommend either Inspector Waffles for mild film noir influences or Chicken Police: Paint it RED! for heavy film noir. (Funnily enough, the protagonists of both Backbone and Chicken Police make cameo appearances in Inspector Waffles.) Blacksad: Under the Skin was decent as well.

They're actually made by different people, but the influence of A Short Hike is very strong nevertheless.

Probably the Brain/Brawl mechanics. If you ever played Mass Effect or Kotor, Brok has a similar thing to its Paragon/Renegade decisions. You can get through pretty much all the obstacles in the game either by talking/doing adventure game puzzles ala Sam and Max, or you can switch into Streets of Rage mode instead and bash your way through/pick a fight with someone obstructing your way forward

I did like that its a bit more nuanced in its implementation than just Peaceful Option Always Good and Violent Option Always Bad. Doing nothing but punch your way through everything doesn't end up well, but being purely pacifist and never fighting anyone also ends up with a body count that was avoidable. Its more about knowing the time and place where using strength is the more productive answer

Always been meaning to get into the Noir genre,
Always this classy feel to 'em, thanks for the
recommendations, Looking 'em up now, Dood!

You could fooled me, Between both having a sunset-ish peaceful vibe, pure
wholesomeness and, similar character designs I would have guessed that
was the dev's theme, Dood

Snap! Sounds like quite the game, Dood!
Really loving the duality mechanic in particular,
It sounds awesome, Dood!
◠‿◠)~★

Though I gotta say, I probably wouldn't get the
best ending, I try to be as nice of a person as
possible in my video games meaning pacifists all
the way unless it's in the name of justice, Like
Skyrim, Dood.
╹‿╹)~★

And all this time I thought the game was going
to lean heavily into the visual novel ring of things,
with less of a focus on gameplay, Dood

You sold me, That's for sure, Dood.

I like beat'em games with RPG elements.

Changed is good for the puzzles. I have to try Amorous.

there is apparently an nsfw patch to Amorous, not sure where to get the file but, its out there somewhere.

It's not really a patch.
You just need to make a file named ShowMeSomeBooty (without extension) in the game's base directory.

I did see the patch and i just skip some of the NSFW parts. Amorous is okay.
