...except for the roleplay or petplay implicating to --> BDSM which I am less sure of. I know there's a lot of common ground between these sets of kinks. But I'm also not sure if they're closely enough related for an implication to --> BDSM from either of them would work or not. So I'd like some input on that idea before ruling either way.

Roleplay should definitely not be implied to bdsm because there are definitely other ways to roleplay (see "Did somebody order a sausage and anchovy pizza with...horsecock sauce?"). I'm still on the fence about petplay though because it's definitely a domination thing. The only issue is...well due to the nature of this site, there's so many pets around. :|

I say no on implicating BDSM. When I think BDSM, I think of leather bindings and all that. Petplay may often involve something light, like a leash, which could qualify as softcore BDSM, but it could even just be as simple as a collar, which I say is not bdsm.

That is a good reason.

It may technically qualify for the lightest edge of BDSM (because it's a very broad category) but that's not probably useful for searches if we went that broad. Some images may indeed qualify to be tagged with both depending on what is going on in the image. But it's not 100% enough to support an implication. So, based on those considerations, the last implication of petplay to --> bdsm is denied.
