The bulk update request #3900 has been rejected.

Reason: There are currently several copyright tags for "Puss in Boots" productions by dreamworks:

• puss_in_boots_(film), the 2011 movie, a spinoff of shrek_(series)
• This tag is also heavily misused for the 2022 sequel.
• the_adventures_of_puss_in_boots, the 2015-2018 netflix series
• puss_in_boots_the_last_wish, the 2022 sequel movie

With this BUR I am proposing to

• create a new supertag puss_in_boots_(series) for all of the above
• create some useful aliases and implications, extending character -> copyright for all characters (that I could find)
• rename puss_in_boots_(film) to puss_in_boots_(2011_film) to avoid confusion
• There are currently ~50 correctly and ~100 incorrectly tagged posts that would need manual fixup.

Alternatively, we could also "squash" all the puss in boots tags into a single one if this is creating too much copyright tag spam.

I support disambiguating puss_in_boots_(film) for the reason you mentioned.
I oppose imply puss_in_boots_(dreamworks) -> puss_in_boots_(series). It would be helpful, but puss_in_boots_(dreamworks) is from the shrek_(series) movies.
I would prefer to squash all the puss_in_boots copyright tags because I'm feeling lazy.

There's also Puss in Boots: The Three Diablos with the characters gonzalo_(the_three_diablos), perla, and sir_timotao_montenegro_iii under the tag the_three_diablos. I advise leaving them for a separate BUR, to make this one a little easier to review.

A few issues I have with this:

create implication puss_in_boots_(series) -> dreamworks

It would be nice to make it clear somehow that puss_in_boots_(series) refers specifically to the Dreamworks series rather than e.g. The Wonderful World of Puss 'n Boots by Toei.

change category puss_in_boots_(film) -> invalid

Why not just alias it to puss_in_boots_(series) (or whatever might replace it)? Most of it is already tagged with The Last Wish anyway.

create implication sheila_(the_adventures_of_puss_in_boots) -> puss_in_boots_(series)
create implication dulcinea -> puss_in_boots_(series)
create implication pajuna-> puss_in_boots_(series)

I replaced those by suffixed *_(puss_in_boots) tags.
