The spelling of his name is based on an apple variety called McIntosh, and has been confirmed by Lauren Faust. However, he is often known as Big Macintosh, and this is the name that appears on the toy produced by Hasbro.

In other words, official sources use both names, so tagging is fucked and implication is the only way.

My understanding is the toys are more recently using Big Mcintosh, though that spelling annoys me since it looks as though it'd be spoken quite differently.

Personally I don't care which version is correct. I just want to be able to just copy-paste tags when I reuploading things from 20pc here.

Well that is fine and dandy an all, but I HATE when pepole source their images as 24.tumblr / derpchan / rule34 /20pc.

Well if there is no source/source is broken and there are no search results in google search then I'm entering where I've found it. And I don't see a difference whether it's 20pc, or rule34, or tumblr which reblogged the pic.

Usually that is because some use a bookmarklet. I tried that once (last upload, on my phone) but then changed the source. It's an extra step, but sources are sources.

Just look at them tag edits both on the same day :V
