The tag alias #61585 gigantes -> gigantes_(dragon_quest) has been rejected.
Reason: Both are the same copyright, but the first does't specify it.

The Gigantes (literally Greek for "Giants") were originally a race of giants in Greek myth who were basically the younger uncles and aunts to the Greek gods. The Gigantes eventually staged a coup against the Greek gods (much as how the gods had overthrown their parents the Titans), but were put down with the help of Hercules (who'd by then become a god himself). It's likely these were the inspiration for the Dragon Quest ones.
Of course, the likelihood of the original Gigantes (or any others) actually being relevant for e621 is extremely minimal. Unless some other Gigantes pop up, I don't see any reason why this alias can't be done.
