Topic: An unusual tag…

Posted under Tag/Wiki Projects and Questions

There is the tag male_anthro, which means that there is the tag female_anthro as well, but I feel like both tags are useless as the tags male anthro and female anthro are already applied respectively. I mean, I can see that they have a chance to apply to beastiality without the tags non_furry/human, but I do not see how they apply to solo/anthro/anthro as the posts follow the already mentioned logic.
I think that those tags are unneeded and should be deleted.

Yes the [gender]_[form] tags, of which there are more than 50 possibilities, are not sustainable and should probably be aliased away. Related topic #34712.

Combo tags of this nature have had the sword of Damocles hanging over them for a while, pending non-specific staff "discussions". I wish they'd hurry up and announce whatever it is they claim to be working on.

Somebody told me the loli and cub tags were for art that had both adult and children in it.

Wouldn't that have the same idea behind it? If a drawing has a feral_female and an anthro_male together then that would give context to the image.

I think these tags are redundant, as well as cub shota and loli are, but perhaps that's the point.

If they do end up aliased away, I won't be sad about them.

That would make looking specifically for not just "younger_XYZ" but others harder.

Not sure where you heard of that, but that is just false.
Young and its subtags can be used in scenarios without any adults being involved.
