Topic: Unimplicate bestiality -/> interspecies

That's still interspecies, in the same way as human on ape would be.

Maybe bestiality tag should just be erased. We already have human_on_feral and anthro_on_feral tags. Probably there would be additional likes humanoid_on_feral.
Bestiality tag is just not clear enough and a bait for pony fans whining about how the site should use Equestrian laws of bestiality. (I kid you not.)

Humans are really a special case since tagging-wise primates aren't just a "feral" or "anthro" version of humans.

Yeah, I've been thinking about that. It doesn't seem to have any real purpose now that *_on_* tags are widely used.

(Well... All except anthro_on_anthro, which is invalidated. For whatever reason.)

I'd support getting that erased. I'm not sure exactly where I'd stick it, but it's definitely incredibly confusing on a furry site.

Probably there would be additional likes humanoid_on_feral.

I'd actually suggested aliasing human_on_feral/human_on_anthro to humanoid_on_feral and humanoid_on_anthro in forum #151354. While we could have two sets of tags for it, it seems to make more sense to me to sequester the humanoid-like tags since keeping them clean would be easier (see Link, elves, etc.).

(I kid you not.]

*sigh* People will never figure out the difference between sapient and sentient...

Well...there was a huge push against tagging anthros as anthro for a while (for whatever reason). I don't remember who it was, but there was a user from ~4 years ago who got a neutral along the lines of "stop tagging anthros when there were no ferals around", which gave me a good laugh.

It's all results of the fact that because this is a furry site it was expected that anthro is something default like tail or head tag and only exceptions or more specific tags should be tagged. It made sense when site was much smaller. And when there was no mlp fim.

Also ~2 years ago I got 2 neutrals for mass removing anthro tag (Without tags scripts - I was user then. How did I tag things without tag scripts?) from pictures without feral even though I had asked other admin before doing that. (They were quickly removed.)

Is that some kind of sorcery?

I've been mass tagging anthro since I started.

Fight the power!

I've been a voice against the interspecies implication. It used to be possible, and in fact I used to like using the site to do this, to search anthro_on_feral -interspecies to find images of anthros rutting their same-species feral counterparts. There were dragon anthros and dragon ferals, horse anthros and horse ferals, deer anthros and deer ferals, canine anthros and canine ferals, among others. Somewhere on the site there's probably a picture of a cat anthro and a cat feral, but I don't think I've seen it. I don't know how to cleanly define a search for these pairings anymore.

The closest is using selfcest, but that really only works for certain pairings, and it's fairly undertagged still.

Actually, maybe the solution is some kind of new tag to refer to the X anthro and X feral situations where X would be the same species tag. I'm not sure what it would be called.

I still think that some of those examples look like interspecies. I have hard time thinking of them as 'same species' if it's a biped on quadruped, especially if there's a large size difference.
