As a potentially new artist, I’m considering uploading my artworks here on e621, but I have a little concern.
In the past I’ve uploaded artworks from other artists (most of which are just superior versions of older posts).

Do my previous uploads have any effect on what I will upload in the future?

There's no reason that you wouldn't be allowed to upload your own artwork as well as content by other people, I know a few people who do this. In fact, it's actually beneficial because you'll be able to start with an upload limit that's higher than default.
