Reason: According to Mick Ono’s Official Sergal reference sheet , there are different subspecies of Sergals, each one represented by different cardinal points. However, the differences in their appearance are so minimal it is almost impossible to distinguish one from another, especially since there are various designs of Sergals out there that even go beyond the official references.

In short: they are all basically just Sergals.

Normally, I would vote "meh", but the amount of posts under those tags are so minimal that I reckon you are right. Artists are not really paying attention to the source material.

E6 don't need a distinction if it is barely there.

They look more like racial types rather than subspecies or breeds. Heck, the natural variations of fur colors and patterns cause more of a difference in appearance than these apparent races. As distinctions go, these four races are irrelevant.

It's similar to how all wolves are wolves, even dogs, yes. The wiki goes into more depth, but it's closer to "breeds" than anything.
