The tag alias #62165 πŸ€™ -> shaka has been rejected.

Reason: Just like ✌ that is aliased to v-sign. Helps when searching, specially when I eventually forget the name of the tag again.

To me, it appears like a rectangle. Either it's a missing emoji package or maybe a missing font on my machine, but it's a nuisance regardless.

I will never understand folks who put the least amount of effort possible into tagging. I am not super fond of <3 as a tag, but at the very least it is ASCII-compliant.

Emojis should all be banned because of issues like aforementioned for folks like me. How many of these exist? Obviously, these two do, so where are the rest?

i get that introducing upvotes to normal forum replies would probably just do more harm than good, but in cases like this i do wish we had one anyways because god damn do i agree with you here

while it Works On My Machineβ„’, they clearly don't on others and they certainly don't belong as tags in a place with a relatively high volume of keyboard users where accessing emojis is just that bit more of a faff

I mean, we are banning them to an extent. That's why we're aliasing them to tags that display without issue.

Perhaps shaka should also be aliased to shaka_sign to make it more obvious what it is?

I agree, that's how Wikipedia calls it

The emoji is being aliased into becoming regular text. The final result will be text

"Shaka" could be a character name but I updated the current posts

Also the site refuses to let me alias the emoji for some reason
