Topic: I want to remove my original account's stuff. Is this is possible and if so who can I contact

Posted under General

i had an old account which was tied to my semi-usual screenname which is a digital footprint that I really do not want
im sure you understand having your porn account name attached to your casual account name is nothing but trouble
its def just paranoia, but if i search it with "e621" after in google you can find the account and what i posted
it would just be a huge relief if the posts (comments and forums) could be scrubbed or something
if i can be led to anyone who can outright remove the account's posts, ill message them its current name
i know theres admins on this site i just dont know where to go and who in specific could help :p
thanks

There's a delete account option that sets your username to "user x", with x being a number. It also removes your favorites and a few other bits that's mentioned on the delete account page. It wouldn't delete the posts but it would change the name associated with it. You can find it from "account" on the top bar, settings then "delete account".

Alternatively you could just change the accounts name from "account" on the top bar then "change username".

Either way it'll take a while for Google to update the search results, and if they keep the old search result it could end up with the old result redirecting to the new username if the url uses your ID instead of your username. Though I imagine they check their results every now and then to make sure they're still correct, it's just how long that takes them.

I'm assuming they're asking this question because they cant login.

It's not a takedown in sense of images, but still is done there?

Seems a bit ineffective, but I guess if they want to change names, that's an option?

If you can log into the account with the comments, then you can just hide them all? Is there a script to automate this? You can get a list of all your comments from here: https://e621.net/comments?group_by=comment&search%5Bcreator_id%5D=1192148 https://e621.net/forum_posts?search%5Bcreator_id%5D=1192148 But it seems you're posting on a new account and not the old one/s. They'd have to have some proof, otherwise just anyone could do this.

Do you have the old email, still? No ability to reset password? If you had a verified account using other site, you could have used that to prove identity, but that only recently came out, sigh... Also, only for artists.
