Topic: Why do Asians, especially Japanese, understand Gynoid as a robot exactly like human beings?

Posted under Off Topic

I often visit websites in various countries. I find that Asia, especially Japan, is almost identical to human beings in terms of Gynoid or robot tags, which is really unattractive to me

Humans are usually attracted to other humans.

The labels on websites such as Gynoid or robots in Europe and America are much better, at least with substantial differences from humans. I am curious about how this leads to such a large gap in the interpretation of the term Gynoid among people from different regions on the same planet

I don't know if I understand the question.

In any case, a gynoid is a female robot, just like an android is a male. Both are machine humanoids meant to resemble humans.
Robot on the other hand is (often) used for machines that lean more on the robotic side.

Also I think Japan usually depicts anthropomorphized beings, living or not, with more human-like characteristics than...whatever is being represented.

These are just my two cents.

Dude, we get it.

I'm more curious about when they sandwich appreciation for pochincoff between statements that robots too human-like make them sick.
I guess it's like how the default anthro preference is just swapping out head/limbs and maybe outer-covering, while the torso structure and sometimes face stays closer to human. I think I get they're saying what they actually dislike are robotic characters indistinguishable from humans but I find strange when someone comes here to discuss non-furry humanoid content. I guess there's probably not much of a booru scene for robots?

I'm sorry, I have a feeling that in this world, there are only robot characters that I dislike and are not fundamentally different from humans. I am posting so many questions about Gynoid's anthropomorphism to vent my dissatisfaction with these robot characters

you can vent about femoids, but you can do it within just the 1 topic. it's really annoying to see technically different threads pop up that are the same damn thing by the same damn dude over and over again

Dunno if you wanna say that one outside of Incel Community sites.

yeah i though it would be funny to drop that line since i never heard the word "gynoid" before, but i get if it just rubs wrong

I guess you'd like post #4004660 since you uploaded it.

And now I know about Fireball

I never expected anyone to use "Vierzehntes Heizregister" as a title of nobility.
Maybe I'll create an original fan character named "Selbstbefriedigung".

Yes, I know that using German words in Japanese anime / video games / etc. is a thing.

I'm sorry, I just feel like I'm the only one in this world who hates characters who are referred to as "Gynoid" or "Robot Girl" due to the addition of mechanical local features

You’re probably not only one, you just exaggerate how big a deal it is.

I don’t like when “normies” call anime catgirls furries, I find it cringe and I’d be mad if my furry searches get flooded by catgirl content.

But ultimately, it’s no big deal, not big enough to open multiple forum topics venting about it, i’ll just ignore the catgirls and focus on the anthros.

They're counterfeit furries.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Uncanny_valley

... In aesthetics, the uncanny valley (Japanese: 不気味の谷, Hepburn: bukimi no tani) is a hypothesized relation between an object's degree of resemblance to a human being and the emotional response to the object....

Well from what I understand about Japan, which admittedly isn't all that much, the men are, for lack of a better term, scared of women, or rather scared of putting themselves out there and potentially getting hurt, and I know the same can be said for a lot of people around the world as well.
Perhaps it's not the robot part that they're into, it's the fact that the gynoid is (usually) programed to serve their human masters. The gynoid is just a vehicle for the fantasy of their ideal partner, she wont judge you for doing or saying something weird the way a real girl might, she's programed to make you happy and please you, emotionally and of course physically.
I'd be lying if I said I didn't partake in this sort of fantasy myself from time to time so I feel I can speak with some authority on it.
Let's take 2B for example, most people will see a super powered war machine that just so happens to look like a pretty woman, we see a powerful beautiful woman who is utterly devoted to defending and serving mankind (or perhaps one lucky man) who just so happens to be a robot.
This fantasy can come in many other flavors as well including but not limited to dolls, pets, ghosts/spirits, and of course slaves. That last example, of course, illustrates the more troubling implications of this fantasy but I am trying to be charitable and assume the best of these people and hey, if the human mind was easy to understand we wouldn't need therapists and psychologists.
Sorry if I didn't do a very good job explaining my point, it's the first time I've really thought about it.

Dear god kill it with fire I never want to see this thread bumped or reposted again, I beg you.

I was thinking Wei was missing those types of threads but it's a necro... How do you guys find these old threads to bump?
