Topic: My Experience with eSix Extend ( after 5 months of usage)

Posted under e621 Tools and Applications

First off, I wanna say that this is the best e621 tool there is.
Second off, let me say that this will save you a lot of time and will drastically improve your e621 experience.
Now, what I initially wanted to do with it was that I wanted to bind my mouse's macros to actions like Fav/Upvote (for obvious reasons) and it helped me do it like a charm. I totally recommend this tool in case you're wondering.

Well, this is flattering. Thank you very much for the recommendation too

For the new users who may want to check it out, you can find it at forum #66904

Can second this. I've been using Xch3l's script for as long as I can remember, and I honestly can't imagine going without it. Not only is it awesome, but is still being constantly updated. If you're not using it, go get it!

At this point, would it be rude if your features got implemented into the vanilla E6 code? Or would you be proud to see that happen?

It'd be awesome if that happened

For what it's worth, my two cents: I use it all the time. It has so many features which the site itself probably should have but doesn't yet, that I often forget which are the site itself and which are the extension. It works seamlessly with the site itself, not intrusive visually and not confusing at all. And if you find a bug, you can tell Xch3l (the guy who developed the extension) about it and it will actually get fixed fairly promptly. So it is very well maintained. =) Adding it is very painless with clear instructions in the thread. It's safe to use. And it's endlessly useful.

I wasn't very quick to try it out for the longest time because I guess I was feeling a little purist, didn't want something that might change my viewing experience or something. But you can turn the extension off easily if you do try it and decide you don't like it after all, which is nice. I finally did give it a try because it had a feature I wanted to be able to do, and now I use it constantly. All the little tools and features it has probably should be added to the main site eventually. But in the meantime the Extend provides a way to use them now instead of waiting for them to be added to the site someday in the future.
