Topic: [REJECTED] Tag alias: through_wall -> through_barrier

Posted under Tag Alias and Implication Suggestions

Well, there’s the thing! There has been issues. For instance, I keep having to manually add it to images tagged with stocks, ‘cause that’s technically not a wall. Even so, the character still has a body part that’s through an object, so that meets the criteria.

I’m asking for the tag to be renamed so it makes more sense to taggers.

…ah, wait. is the problem that this would prevent ‘through_wall’ from being used in the future?
if that’s the case, i might have to make this into a BUR. create the alias and remove it instantly.

I like how you fucked up the through_wall wiki a little and changed the examples to fit your narrative from topic #36147.
I don't think at any point was stocks considered to be through_wall, but you also edited it into the stocks wiki as well.

IMO, though_wall should be kabeshiri/reverse_kabeshiri in essence (as defined in the most earliest versions of the wiki).
Not sure when glory_hole, sex_box, stocks, etc. were added into the mix.

I would tend to agree, I don't think we should be including most other glory hole-type situations and I really don't think it should be used for stocks.

also looking at it, I don't think this image example post #2127550 that was added along with the other earlier exaples should be on there either. through_bars would seem to be a better tag, although that's mostly used for prison bars and it wouldn't account for similar situations with chain-link_fences.

okay, I'm going to revert the through_wall wiki to how it was before with a few minor changes, since it seems there is a consensus that the previous tag definition was better. however, that old definition could still do with a proofread, it's kinda hard to parse, if I'm being honest and could do with being a little bit more clear and concrete. I might get around to it later if someone else dosn't beat me to it.

also, this is probably a discussion for another thread, but I think we really oughta have some tags for when a character puts a single bodypart/limb into a glory hole or maybe just holes in general.
