I don't know why we still cling on to the idea that these tags are useless, when no tag combination can reliably achieve the same results. male feral returns many many results where the feral isn't male. Suggesting male feral solo or male feral -female -intersex as alternatives is just plain ridiculous. What if you wanted specifically to search for images containing a male feral and an intersex anthro?

It's crazy how everybody is willing to argue that princess_twilight_sparkle_(mlp) shouldn't imply twilight_sparkle_(mlp) for the ridiculous niche case of "what if somebody wants to find an image that contains both forms" but argues against being able to easily find the gender form you're looking for.

With the same arguments against gender_form these tags are also useless because they can be replicated successfully at least some of the time by using different tag combinations:

• anal_penetration: anal penetration
• looking_back_at_viewer: looking_back looking_at_viewer
• public_nudity: public nude
• penis_in_pussy: penis pussy penetration
• standing_sex: standing sex

that could also be an option but there does seem to be a demand for this type of tags, someone even made feral_boy and feral_girl, seemingly to get around the current alias situation.
and personally I do think there is at least some value in having specific tags because it's pretty common for a picture to have both the female and feral tags without actually containing a female_feral

The male_human/female_human tags should be revalidated too.

These aliases cause more problems and inconvenience than whatever problems they're trying to "solve".

Not every post tagged feral female is going to have a feral character that is female, and not every post with a feral female character involves sexual activity that would warrant tag combinations that indirectly indicate a female feral, like feral_on_male anthro_on_female or something.

It's also downright impossible to describe when there are characters of both sexes that are the same form, with a third character of a different form. How do you specifically search for a female human in a scene or comic alongside female and male anthro characters? Spoiler: you can't. Right now you're stuck with male female human anthro trio... the results for that combination of tags are unsurprisingly predominantly male human characters with at least one anthro female, with some posts involving one male anthro and two female human characters.

With the hypothetical combination of female_human male_anthro female_anthro you would find posts containing what you're looking for immediately, a trio of characters, two anthro that are male and female, and one female human.

Which will be a whole task in itself, requiring people to go through and add the relevant tags. <gender>_on_<form> can't be aliased to <gender>_<form> since the former doesn't indicate the gender of the given <form>, or the form of the given <gender> (other than the character referenced by <gender> being not-<form>), and aliasing away <gender>_on_<form> without the <gender>_<form> tags in place would lose relevant and useful information about the posts.

No, even without <gender>_<form> tags, the <gender>_on_<form> tags are enough without needing <gender>_<verbing>_<form> (and <form>_<verbing>_<gender>) tags, given the individual *_<verbing> and *_<verbed> tags.

Hugely in favor of validdating all [gender]_[form] tags. They are useful in a way that [gender] + [form] simply is not.
Gender is one of the main factors in whether or not a piece will be appealing to someone, with form being right up there with it. We acknowledge that the gender of pred/prey in vore matters enough to tag, or that people looking for a specific body type probably want to see that body type on a specific gender. How is the form considered less important?
It's like saying "Why have male/female when male female gives the same results?"
