snake_impalement refers to snaking, the act, not snakes per se, and the wiki says as much. 10 of the 74 posts tagged snake_impalement show not-snakes doing the impaling.

if the pray character isn't serpentine in form it shouldn't be snake_impalement though, it should just be threaded_by_body. and of the stuff that remians under snake_impalement -snake I'm not even sure if these are property tagged, I feel like the wigglet one might be the only property tagged one in this regard.
Honestly I have no idea what to make of snake_impalement nowadays. Threaded_by_body would fill *most* of the same role, and I've been tempted to just alias it before, but as the snaked wiki mentions, threaded_by_tail could be more fitting in some cases.
Either way, snake being agressively implied causes issues on a lot of tags, and I would rather we didn't make the situation worse. Snake_penis implies snake as well, yet there are a bunch of non-snake examples in there that are now fairly hard to find because of that.
