Topic: [REJECTED] Tag alias: terra_macro -> tera

Posted under Tag Alias and Implication Suggestions

The tag alias #63433 terra_macro -> tera has been rejected.

Reason: The word "terra" means land, dirt, or earth, and is the root word in "terrain". It is not the correct term to use (unless the macro is made of dirt).

The metric prefix is "tera". Similar to giga, micro, and nano, the metric prefix name should be used for the tag name of tera-scale macro characters.

EDIT: The tag alias terra_macro -> tera (forum #370694) has been rejected by @spe.

You're missing the part where Terra also means Earth as in the planet. Terra_macro means a planet-scale individual. Besides, "Tera" would run the risk of making people ask "What about solar-system-scale creatures? Shouldn't we call then Peta? And galaxy-scale creatures, shouldn't they be Exa?", and we don't need to create yet another big/huge/hyper size gradient mess. "Terra macro" is a name that, to me, says everything it needs to.
