Topic: BUR: putting faces into sheaths (now with less head erasure)

Posted under Tag Alias and Implication Suggestions

The bulk update request #5348 is pending approval.

create alias muzzle_in_sheath (58) -> face_in_sheath (65)
create alias snout_in_sheath (43) -> face_in_sheath (65)
create implication head_in_sheath (9) -> face_in_sheath (65)

Reason: A bunch of disparate tags for a cool-but-niche kink. head_in_sheath is kinda different but there's only two posts for it so I figured it should probably be rolled into the face tag too. head_in_sheath is kinda different but it implies face_in_sheath by virtue of the face being one of the defining features of the head.

Absolutely not, they are quite different, just undertagged.

I wouldn't have considered them that different but point taken. It just seemed a bit too obscure, a niche-within-a-niche, the kind of thing that never gets tagged, etc. But I'm new to updating tags so if future-proofing is a thing I could edit that one to be an implication instead.

I agree that unification is needed, but these tags still mean slightly different things. Maybe we need to come up with an umbrella tag to which we can implicate them?

An umbrella tag is overkill, that'd make 3 tags for a current total of 55 posts. I've made head_in_sheath an implication so if anyone really wants to distinguish the two they can use face_in_sheath -head_in_sheath.
