Topic: [REJECTED] [BUR]Pet praise

Posted under Tag Alias and Implication Suggestions

The bulk update request #5379 has been rejected.

create implication good_boy (6108) -> pet_praise (2037)
create implication good_girl (3643) -> pet_praise (2037)

Reason: Pet_praise is undertagged and I don't understand why these weren't implied yet since theyre both ways to praise a pet, in a kinky setting or otherwise.

When I'm looking for posts where the dominant praises their pet I always have to use ~pet_praise ~good_boy ~good_girl to be sure it catches as much as possible. Would be better to reduce it to one tag.

EDIT: The bulk update request #5379 (forum #373899) has been rejected by @slyroon.

hmm… i made topic #36188 which implies the good_* tags to text, since they are explicitly required according to the wiki (at least the good boy wiki does) but maybe it’s better to have pet praise imply text instead? or maybe praise in general should? is it possible to give praise through non-text means?
i also could’ve sworn i saw another forum post suggesting doing something similar to this…

I think? Is there any non-verbal way to praise someone? The closest I can think of is giving a treat to a dog, but that may or may not count.

Videos with voice acting could have verbal praise but no text

That wiki entry would have to be reworked, many wiki pages are sloppily written tbh.

voice_acted (and maybe pictographics), I'd say maybe it could be dialogue but it can also be written on a shirt or a characer's body, etc..

Maybe imply dialogue then? Praising someone implies text and/or voice acting, communication from one character to another.

There doesn't seem to be a good tag to alias to for bad_boy/girl, with bad_boy not necessarily referring to a male, and it being tagged solely based on vibes, like this post post #3731504

Watsit

Privileged

Unlike an implication, an alias doesn't have to be correct 100% of the time, it just needs to be the least worst option for getting rid of a tag. Male would be correct the majority of the time, and it can be removed from posts that it isn't applicable to.

create alias good_boy (6108) -> praise (3748)
create alias good_girl (3643) -> praise (3748)

Reason: I doubt all of good_boy/girl falls directly in the realm of pet_praise, so aliasing to praise instead.

Currently, good boy/girl is used regardless of context, as long as the phrase is in it. It's used when a character thinks the phrase or if it's written down somewhere. Basically, it's not always used in a praising manner. The tag needs to be redefined, or all the non-praising posts need to be cleared out before I'm comfortable aliasing it.
