News: Feb 26, 2025 Show

Feb 26th:A new bill in Arizona is making its way through the Senate that would force sites like e621 to implement mandatory age verification for all users—or face potential lawsuits. This system would require third-party vendors to verify every user’s age through a government database. Not only is this a massive violation of privacy, but it also introduces serious risks, including identity theft through phishing schemes and other malicious methods. Worse still, we would have no control over ensuring that user data is permanently deleted after verification.

Since e621 operates out of Arizona, this law would almost certainly impact us if it passes. If you want to help ensure that we can continue serving you without being forced to collect personal information, we urge you to contact Arizona’s senators and ask them to vote NO on this bill.

Please help spread the word about this issue and encourage others to take action.
Further information on the bill itself can be found at the Free Speech Coalition: https://action.freespeechcoalition.com/bill/arizona-hb-2112/

Topic: New tag for stuff that is interactive or a game?

Posted under Tag/Wiki Projects and Questions

This is something i've been frustrated with for years, there isn't a proper tagging system for screenshots/excerpts/promos/adverts for furry games. I guess that in the past, the flash tag was a pretty decent way at getting towards playable content but since its death, and I guess the conception of exe files there is no way to find games on this site except through direct knowledge. Pretty much, anything that is/or links/alludes to a playable furry game should be tagged properly so that this sort of content is archived.

Below are examples, with query tags shown of posts that are of playable games/content. As you can see there are no tags indicating that these are playable games, you have to find them through a combination of tags.

This is the progress i've made on the tag, though its mostly saturated with itch.io games with the exception of few. My hopes is that we can get a more diverse range of sites.

For now, do you think this is an appropriate name?

I was just thinking about having a something like a pvas (playable_version_at_source) or ivas (interactive_version_at_source) tag just earlier today, to fit in line with the other *vas tags like bvas (better_version_at_source)
