To be fair to them, the wiki for visual novel does state:

Images that depict characters, settings, and/or gameplay mechanics from, OR imitating, a visual novel game.

so it's got the same problem definition-wise that video games had, but yeah, we definitely shouldn't repeat that same mistake again.

Sorry, I wasn't aware of such an issue in the past. I initially suggested this implication due to the definition of visual novel given in the wiki. If an image were to be tagged with nekojishi, it is highly likely that a character from Nekojishi would be in the image and hence should also be tagged with visual novel as per the definition (i.e., "Images that depict characters ... from ... a visual novel game"). Furthermore, there were other similar posts also tagged with visual novel such as images involving Torahiko from Morenatsu.

However, seeing as the visual novel tag has been updated with a new definition, I believe that this implication is invalid. I sincerely apologise for my mistake.

The new game isn't a visual novel but an adventure game? That's gonna bypass the "is visual novel the new video game tag?".

Edit: I mean "Nekojishi: Lin & Partners", some places say it an adventure game, others RPG, still...
