Oopsie, there's a conditional DNP artist with only the artist allowed to upload work. Question though:

What do we do when the commissioner has a higher res that is publicly available outside of e6, but the artist has already uploaded version is a lower res to e6? Did a quick search but didn't find any guidance on this.

DNP higher res
Con DNP lower res

I'd say you can contact the artist about it, but otherwise it's their choice what resolution they want on here.

IIRC, if an artist is DNP (or CDNP - only artist can post), then whatever the artist posts here is the version that can be posted here. The commissioner or someone would need to ask for permission to upload a better version if one's available.

A curious question is if they're deceased and/or haven't been seen in a decade+.
An edge case is stuff where the copyright finally expired, but don't see that being an issue much, yet. Not too many artists with work that old posting here. ;)

At least in the USA, nothing produced after Steamboat Willie (1928) will ever go out of copyright. When it's getting within a decade or so, the Mouse purchases legislation to extend the term a few more decades - that was part of the motivation behind DMCA.

I mean, they're kinda running out of time, <4 months before it gets hit. and with a lot of us politicians having, let's say "mixed" opinions on Disney as of late, it might be an uphill battle if they try.
